Visa Requirements To Enter Bali – Indonesia

PROVISIONAL PROHIBITIONS OF FOREIGNERS ENTERING INDONESIAN TERRITORY RELATED TO COVID-19

The Government of the Republic of Indonesia has issued a new decree in response to the escalating COVID 19 outbreak. Effective from April 2, 2020, Indonesia will refuse entries to foreigners (visiting or transiting). Visa on Arrival is not valid until further notice.

 

This decree exempts the following:

1) Holders of KITAS (Limited Stay Permit) and KITAP (Permanent Stay Permit)

2) Holders of Diplomatic/Service visa

3) Holders of Diplomatic Stay Permit/ Service Stay Permit

4) Medical, Food, and Humanitarian Aid Support Workers

5) Transportation Crew

6) Employee/workers of National Strategic Projects (such as infrastructure and construction)

 

 

For exempted foreigners, the following are required:

1) Health Certificate issued by health practitioner from the country of origin
2) A test result of negative COVID-19 PCR test/swab test

3) Has established a minimum of 14 (fourteen) days residence in countries deemed clear of COVID-19

4) Must be willing to follow the 14 (fourteen) days quarantine, as mandated by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia

In accordance with the Regulation of Minister of Law and Human Right of the Republic of Indonesia Number 26, 2013, citizens from 61 countries and 1 region are eligible for obtaining Visa on Arrival (VOA).

 

​This visa can be obtained directly when you are landed at certain airports and seaport in Indonesia regardless of the purpose of your visits (Business, Tourist, Social). The Visa on Arrival is not a work visa nor a visitation visa. Therefore, it can not be converted to obtain other immigration permits. The maximum stays permitted for the visa on arrival is 30 days. If you plan to stay longer than 30 days, you need to mention your intention to stay longer. Visa on Arrival can be extended for another 30 days. The general requirements for Visa On Arrival are:

  • The expiration date of the applicant’s passport (full validity passport) must be at least 6 (six) months at the date of entry, which has at least one blank page for visa (amendment and endorsement pages cannot be used for visa). A limited validity passport is not accepted without a prior Indonesian visa
  • At least one blank visa page
  • Round-trip airplane ticket
  • Visa on Arrival fee (refer below)

The fees for Visa On Arrival are:

  • Visa for stay up to 7 (seven) days in several Special Economic Zones (SEZ)= US$ 15,-
  • Visa for stay up to 30 (thirty) days = US$ 35,-
  • Extension of stay for up to 30 (thirty) days = US$ 35,-

When you arrive at Bali International Airport, you must have your return ticket, evidence of accommodation including contact information and proof of funding for your stay.
